You Can See Everything, Nathan Fielder and Lance Oppenheim’s documentary on Elizabeth Holmes, featured plenty of twists and turns that apparently didn’t end once the cameras stopped rolling. In a new interview with WIRED, Fielder revealed that Holmes called him from prison on the eve of the film’s release after six months without contact.

“So I answered the phone, and I said, ‘Hey, how’s it going?’ She asked how I was doing. I asked her if she had seen any stuff about the film coming out and how she felt about it all. She told me that she had seen some stuff, but most things she just isn’t seeing, so she’s heard things, but she hasn’t really read anything. And then, at the end, she said to me—’I trust you.’ I said, ‘OK, thanks.'”

“We talked about some other stuff. She talked about her kids, and then some updates that are not really my place to share. But then after that, she said again, at the end of the call—’I trust you.’ And I don’t know what she meant by that.”

Fielder told WIRED that, as with much of his experience with Holmes, he’s still trying to decipher what she meant. “It’s just the whole thing is hard to unravel, and every piece I try to interpret. I don’t want to create too much meaning to any given moment, but then my mind does try to figure those things out.”
