Iron Maiden had planned to take a break from touring in 2027 but have decided to add one more North American leg to their “Run for Your Lives Tour.” The legendary metal band has announced a spring outing featuring support from Bullet for My Valentine and The Raven Age.
The 16-date tour kicks off April 14th in Tacoma, Washington, and runs through a May 16th show at the Boardwalk Rock festival in Ocean City, Maryland. Along the way, Maiden will hit cities they didn’t play on their recently completed 2026 North American tour, including Vancouver, Dallas, Atlanta, and other cities. They’ve also been announced as a headliner of the 2027 Sonic Temple festival on May 14th in Columbus, Ohio.
Pre-sales will begin on Monday, October 19th at 10 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster, with a general on-sale starting Friday, October 23rd, at 10 a.m. local time, also via Ticketmaster.
Bassist Steve Harris stated, ““As many of our fans know, Maiden were planning on taking a break from live performances in 2027, but we’ve been enjoying this last leg in the USA and Canada so much that we all had a chat and decided we should take the show to parts we missed, particularly the North West and South East. It just seems fair to our many fans there who have given us tremendous support for so many years. We can’t get everywhere but we can try!”
He continued, “Also, we have always enjoyed playing the many great festivals that are in Europe and wanted to experience a couple more in the USA which we will do at the end of the tour in Columbus and Maryland. At festivals you are not just playing to your own fans so it’s always a challenge and we all love a challenge!”
