Oasis’ Noel Gallagher is the latest guest to appear on Chicken Shop Date, the interview web series hosted by Amelia Dimoldenberg.
Sitting across Dimoldenberg at Sam’s Chicken in Harlesden, Gallagher touched on Oasis’ massive reunion tour, his beloved Manchester City, and songs new and old in his catalogue. Unlike the Gallaghers’ usual candor in interviews, Noel was on his best behavior — but there were still a handful of fun stories and deadpan quips from the pair. When asked how he “stays humble,” Gallagher told Dimoldenberg that he still lives with kids: “I thought to myself, ’48 hours ago, I was on stage in São Paulo. The world was in my hands. And now I’m arguing with two bellends about Cocoa Pops.'”
Gallagher also discussed his friendship with Paul McCartney, how he used to have a cardboard cutout of Matthew McConaughey, why the meaning of “Champagne Supernova” has changed over time, and how he has “tons and tons of unreleased material.” Watch Gallagher’s Chicken Shop Date appearance below.
