BTS’s South American tour has sparked controversy over its reduced stage production, with Brazilian consumer authorities demanding explanations from Live Nation ahead of the group’s three sold-out concerts in São Paulo on October 28th, 30th, and 31st.

The dispute centers on the number of LED screens used during the concerts. While the group’s performances in other markets have featured 12 screens, the South American production uses just four, prompting fan complaints about visibility and the concert experience.

Brazil’s National Consumer Secretariat (Senacon) notified Live Nation and Ticketmaster on October 22nd, requesting explanations about the stage configuration and how it was communicated to ticket buyers. Meanwhile, São Paulo’s consumer protection agency Procon-SP reportedly received 518 complaints concerning the concerts, including 460 related to production infrastructure.

In a statement reported by Billboard Brasil, Live Nation attributed the reduced setup to logistical and scheduling constraints. The promoter maintained that the four-screen configuration matched the seating map available when tickets went on sale and that the screens, positioned around a central tower, preserve a 360-degree viewing experience.

Fan criticism intensified after BTS began the South American leg of their “Arirang Tour” in Bogotá, Colombia, where the smaller setup was first used. The configuration has remained in place throughout the regional dates.

BTS’s upcoming concerts at São Paulo’s MorumBIS Stadium will close out the South American leg. No production changes have been announced.
