Ella Langley has cancelled her concert scheduled for this evening (Friday, October 9th) at the BOK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma, citing “a serious security threat involving the safety of my fans, the venue staff, and my team.”

According to Oklahoma’s News 9, Tulsa police received a bomb threat call, but a sweep of the venue by officers and K-9 units found no indication of a threat. Langley and BOK Center nonetheless decided to cancel the show, citing the safety of the fans and venue personnel.

Tulsa Police Captain Richard G. Meulenberg IV told Deadline that his department received “a call saying that someone’s going to do great harm to the people here at this event.” He added, “We came out again in an over abundance of caution, used our bomb dogs again, searched the entire area. We could not find a credible threat here at the BOK Center.”

“I know how much time, travel, money, and planning goes into coming to a show, and I can’t tell you how sorry I am. This is not a decision that was made lightly. I was so looking forward to spending tonight with you, but your safety will always mean more to me than anything else,” Langley said in her statement. “I refuse to put anyone in harm’s way.”
